CVE-2024-27439Network attack vector

CSRF protection bypass via incorrect navigation checks

Published Mar 19, 2024 · Updated Feb 13, 2025

CSRF in Apache Wicket 9.1.0 through 9.16.0 and 10.0.0 milestones allows remote attackers to bypass fetch-metadata request checks. FetchMetadataResourceIsolationPolicy incorrectly asserts the HTTP method and fetch-mode conditions used to recognize permitted top-level navigation. Exposure requires an application to use fetch-metadata CSRF protection, and resulting actions remain bounded by the affected application session's permissions.
