CVE-2024-27379

Heap overwrite via unchecked interface-address count

Published Jun 5, 2024 · Updated Mar 28, 2025

Heap overwrite in Samsung Electronics Exynos 980, 850, 1280, 1380, and 1330 allows local users to corrupt memory via a userspace request. The slsi_nan_subscribe_get_nl_params() function trusts hal_req->num_intf_addr_present without bounds validation before using it in a heap write. High local privileges are required, and successful exploitation overwrites heap memory on the affected device.
