Local heap overwrite via unchecked PMK length
Published Jun 5, 2024 · Updated Mar 28, 2025
Out-of-bounds write in Samsung Exynos 980, 850, 1280, 1380, and 1330 allows local users to overwrite heap memory. The slsi_nan_get_security_info_nl() function accepts sec_info->key_info.body.pmk_info.pmk_len from userspace without validating it before a heap write. Reaching the flaw requires high privileges and no user interaction; the overwrite can compromise confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
