CVE-2024-27371

Heap overwrite via unchecked service information length

Published Jun 5, 2024 · Updated Feb 13, 2025

Out-of-bounds write in Samsung Exynos 980, 850, 1280, 1380, and 1330 allows local users to overwrite heap memory via userspace input. slsi_nan_followup_get_nl_params() accepts hal_req->service_specific_info_len without validating it before using the length to copy service-specific data into a heap buffer. Exploitation requires local high-privileged access and can corrupt memory, exposing confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
