Stack-based buffer overflow in TIF parsing in Kofax Power PDF before 5.0.0.17 allows remote attackers to execute code via a crafted TIF file. The TIF parser copies attacker-controlled data into a fixed-length stack buffer without first validating its length. Exploitation requires the target to open the file or visit a malicious page, and successful execution runs in the context of the Power PDF process.
