Code execution via bracket-wrapped CSV labels
Published Sep 12, 2024 · Updated Sep 12, 2024
Eval injection in Refuel Autolabel 0.0.8 through 0.0.16 allows context-dependent attackers to execute Python code through a crafted CSV file. MLCTaskValidate.validate passes bracket-wrapped label-column values directly to Python eval before checking that the result is a permitted label list. Execution requires a user to load the attacker's CSV for a multilabel classification task, and the code runs with that user's process privileges.
