Path traversal in JHPyle docassemble 1.4.53 through 1.4.96 allows remote attackers to read system information via crafted URLs. The filename_invalid function rejects ../ sequences but fails to reject filenames beginning with /, allowing absolute paths outside the intended namespace. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the resulting access is limited to information disclosure.
