CVE-2024-27244

Local privilege escalation via unverified installer data

Published May 15, 2024 · Updated Sep 20, 2024

Improper signature verification in Zoom Workplace VDI App for Windows before 5.17.10 allows local users to elevate privileges. The installer accepts data without adequately verifying its cryptographic signature, but Zoom has not disclosed the affected file, validation path, or trust decision. Exploitation requires local low-privileged access, high-complexity conditions, and user interaction, and success grants elevated control over the host.
