CVE-2024-27232

Local information disclosure via missing null check

Published Apr 5, 2024 · Updated Nov 21, 2024

Information disclosure in Google Android kernel GSC allows local users to read out-of-bounds memory while parsing elliptic-curve key data. The asn1_ec_pkey_parse function in asn1_common.c omits a required null check, allowing the parser to read beyond valid memory. Exploitation requires local low-privileged access, needs no user interaction, and is limited to disclosure with no reported data modification or service interruption.
