Local information disclosure via unchecked status code
Published Mar 11, 2024 · Updated Nov 14, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in Android 13 Exynos RIL allows local users to disclose memory through a malformed keep-alive status code. ProtocolPsKeepAliveStatusAdapter::getCode() reads the status code without verifying that its index remains within the backing buffer. Exploitation requires prior compromise of baseband firmware, needs no user interaction, and is limited to local information disclosure.
