CVE-2024-27217

Local code execution via MSDP use-after-free

Published May 7, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Use-after-free in OpenHarmony MSDP 4.0.0 and earlier allows local users to execute arbitrary code in preinstalled applications. The vendor identifies MSDP as the affected locus but does not disclose the freed object, lifetime error, trigger, or input path. Low-privilege local access is required; the CNA assessment bounds the reported security impact to disclosure across a changed scope.
