CVE-2024-27191Network attack vector

Contributor-level code execution via shortcode callback

Published Apr 3, 2024 · Updated Apr 28, 2026

Code injection in Inpersttion Slivery Extender 1.0.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute server-side code. The slider_theme_section shortcode handler passes an attacker-controlled attribute to call_user_func as a callable without restricting permitted callbacks. Contributor-level WordPress access is required, and successful exploitation executes code in the server context.
