CVE-2024-27185Network attack vector

Cache poisoning via unrestricted pagination parameters

Published Aug 20, 2024 · Updated Mar 29, 2025

Cache poisoning in Joomla! CMS 3.0.0 through 3.10.16, 4.0.0 through 4.4.6, and 5.0.0 through 5.1.2 allows remote attackers to poison caches. The Pagination class copies arbitrary request parameters into generated pagination links without restricting them to parameters represented in cache keys. Unauthenticated network access is sufficient, and a shared intermediary or application cache can serve attacker-influenced links to later visitors.
