Remote code execution via Python file overwrite
Published Jun 14, 2024 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
Path traversal in TopAccess on Toshiba Tec e-STUDIO MFPs allows remote attackers to execute code by overwriting executable Python files. The Remote Command program accepts a traversal path and overwrites an existing Python file containing executable code. Network access to TopAccess is required, and reliable exploitation generally depends on chaining another vulnerability.
