CVE-2024-27170Public exploit

Full WebDAV access via world-readable hard-coded credentials

Published Jun 14, 2024 · Updated Feb 13, 2025

Hard-coded credentials in Toshiba Tec e-STUDIO MFP firmware allow local users to obtain full WebDAV access to affected printers. The world-readable /home/SYSROM_SRC/data/passwords file exposes a weak password hash for the embedded WebDAV account. After obtaining local file access and recovering the password, attackers can authenticate to WebDAV and read, create, or overwrite printer files.
