Patient-data disclosure via unencrypted remote-archive traffic
Published May 14, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Missing encryption in GE HealthCare EchoPAC and ImageVault products allows remote attackers to read sensitive patient data in transit. EchoPAC Share remote-archive communications transmit patient information without transport encryption rather than using DICOM/TLS. Access to the hospital network and user interaction are required; EchoPAC Software Only is affected only when the EchoPAC Share feature is installed.
