Stored XSS via unsanitized dashboard Markdown
Published Mar 18, 2024 · Updated Aug 26, 2024
Stored XSS in GLPI 9.5.0 through 10.0.12 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in dashboard viewers' browsers. The dashboard Markdown renderer in src/Dashboard/Widget.php inserted transformed Markdown directly into HTML without passing it through RichText::getSafeHtml. Exploitation requires rights to create and share a dashboard plus a viewer opening it; script execution can expose data available in that viewer's session.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
