CVE-2024-27102Network attack vector

Host file disclosure via symlink race

Published Mar 13, 2024 · Updated Apr 15, 2025

Path traversal in Pterodactyl Wings before 1.11.9 allows remote authenticated users to read host files through a controlled server. The server filesystem checks a path before access, allowing its entry to be replaced with a symlink that a later operation follows outside the sandbox root. Exploitation requires control of an allocated server; host-file reading is confirmed, while the full impact remains unspecified.
