CVE-2024-27092Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Branded email spoofing via unvalidated team names

Published Feb 26, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Content spoofing in Hoppscotch before 2023.12.6 allows remote authenticated users to send branded invitations with attacker-chosen links. The team invitation service inserts the editable team name into invitation email text without validation, causing link-like content to become clickable. A team member must rename a team and invite a recipient, and exploitation depends on that recipient trusting and following the embedded link.
