CVE-2024-27082Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Browser script execution via unsanitized tree labels

Published May 13, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Stored XSS in Cacti before 1.2.27 allows remote authenticated users to run JavaScript in another user's browser through device fields. Device Description and Hostname values are stored and later copied from tree anchors without DOMPurify sanitization. A privileged Cacti account must save the payload and another user must open the affected tree view, exposing that user's session data and actions.
