Authenticated command execution via unsanitized MAC value
Published Mar 20, 2024 · Updated Aug 21, 2024
OS command injection in Tenda AC10U firmware 15.03.06.49 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands through a crafted MAC value. The formWriteFacMac handler for /goform/WriteFacMac passes the mac parameter directly to doSystemCmd, so shell separators introduce additional commands. A valid low-privilege session is required; successful exploitation runs attacker-selected commands in the router firmware context, enabling data access, configuration changes, or a service interrupt.
