CVE-2024-27065

Local service interruption via internal flag comparison

Published May 1, 2024 · Updated May 23, 2026

Improper input validation in Linux kernel nf_tables allows local users to interrupt service through crafted table flag updates. nf_tables_updtable compares user-visible flags with a table value that also contains internal flags, so an unchanged update is processed instead of skipped. Low-privileged local access is required; published material limits the impact to availability but does not disclose the final failure path.
