CVE-2024-26997

Kernel crash via premature URB dereference

Published May 1, 2024 · Updated May 23, 2026

Null-pointer dereference in Linux kernel DWC2 host DDMA code allows local users to crash the kernel during isochronous USB completion. dwc2_cmpl_host_isoc_dma_desc reads qtd->urb->priv before verifying that qtd->urb is non-NULL. Reachability requires the DWC2 host controller's descriptor-DMA path and an isochronous completion carrying a NULL URB pointer.
