Local service interruption via unreleased DMA buffers
Published Apr 17, 2024 · Updated May 11, 2026
Memory leakage in the Linux kernel 6.7 through 6.7.5 allows local users to interrupt service through the nouveau GSP-RM driver. The nvkm_gsp_mem lifecycle fails to free several DMA allocations after initialization or during driver teardown. Low-privileged local access and an active nouveau GSP-RM configuration are required; sustained triggering can exhaust memory and crash or hang the host.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
