Local service interruption via bidirectional iterator misuse

Iterator direction confusion in the Linux block layer allows local users to interrupt service through a crafted SCSI request. The block request mapper builds one iov_iter for an SG_DXFER_TO_FROM_DEV request, then uses that iterator for both user-to-kernel and kernel-to-user copies despite its single direction. Reaching the warning requires low-privileged local access able to submit the bidirectional request, and the supported consequence is service interruption rather than data disclosure or modification.
