Improper operation ordering in Linux allows local users to disrupt protected BIOS configuration on Lenovo workstations with Admin passwords. The think-lmi current_value_store path sends the attribute-change WMI call before WmiOpcodePasswordAdmin, so firmware receives authentication too late. The condition requires an enabled Admin password; public sources describe unreliable protected-setting changes but no broader consequence.
