System hang via nouveau fence lock deadlock

Improper locking in the nouveau GPU driver in Linux allows local users to hang the complete system through fence processing. The nouveau fence uevent path processes fence notifications in interrupt context, allowing the fence-context lock and IRQ lock to deadlock. Exploitation requires local low-privileged access and a system using the nouveau driver; the resulting availability loss takes down the entire system.
