Wi-Fi interruption via stale ECSA rejection

A connection-refusal flaw in Linux 6.7 allows local users to interrupt Wi-Fi access by connecting to an access point with a stale ECSA element. The mac80211 logic in net/mac80211/mlme.c treats persisted ECSA probe-response data as an active channel switch and rejects authentication instead of ignoring the stale announcement. Exposure requires an affected kernel using mac80211 and a nearby access point advertising the relevant channel-switch data; the bounded consequence is failure to connect.
