CVE-2024-26660

Undefined kernel behavior via stream encoder array overread

Published Apr 2, 2024 · Updated Aug 5, 2026

An out-of-bounds read in Linux 5.11 through affected branches causes undefined kernel behavior during AMD DCN301 display setup. The dcn301_stream_encoder_create function uses eng_id to index the four-entry stream_enc_regs array without rejecting values above 3. The path runs only during local AMD GPU driver probe, and upstream analysis states that the out-of-range condition is outside attacker influence.
