System crash via unchecked PHY callback

NULL pointer dereference in Linux kernel 3.7 through 6.7.4 allows local users to crash the system by waking an idle Ethernet gadget. The phy-omap-usb2 driver calls an external PHY's send_srp or set_vbus callback without confirming that the callback is implemented. Exploitation requires local low-privilege access, an idle Ethernet USB gadget, and an external PHY lacking the callback; the resulting NULL call crashes the kernel.
