Stored XSS via unsanitized group display name
Published Feb 27, 2024 · Updated Aug 15, 2024
Stored XSS in Bonitasoft Bonita Web affected releases allows remote attackers to execute script via a crafted Groups Display name. The application stores the crafted display name without neutralizing it and inserts that value into the Add Membership group selector, where the browser interprets it as script. A user must open a profile's Memberships view and select Add Membership; the script then runs in that user's browser context and can read or modify session-accessible data.
