CVE-2024-26507Public exploit

NT SYSTEM escalation via arbitrary physical-memory mapping

Published Jun 10, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Privilege escalation in FinalWire AIDA64 editions 7.00.6700 and earlier allows local users to gain NT SYSTEM access through a driver IOCTL. The kernel driver's 0x80112104 handler passes attacker-controlled physical addresses and lengths from IRP->SystemBuffer into MmMapIoSpace and returns the mapped memory to user mode. Low-integrity access is sufficient to scan physical memory for an elevated process token; the published proof of concept can crash Windows if it touches swapped memory.
