Stored script execution via unnormalized link field
Published Feb 22, 2024 · Updated Aug 26, 2024
Stored XSS in the trykirby.com Demokit for Kirby 4.1.0 allows attackers to execute scripts through an image-block Link field. The demo's site/snippets/blocks/image.php passes the stored Link value directly into an href attribute instead of normalizing it with toUrl(). The vendor states that no Kirby CMS release was affected because the faulty snippet existed only on the vendor-controlled demo site, not customer installations.
