CVE-2024-26475Public exploit

Local application crash via unchecked treeblock allocation

Published Mar 14, 2024 · Updated Mar 27, 2025

NULL pointer dereference in radare2 0.9.7 through 5.8.6 allows local users to crash the application by opening a crafted SFS image. grub_sfs_read_extent allocates treeblock from an SFS-controlled block size, then uses the pointer without checking whether grub_malloc returned NULL. Low-privileged local access is sufficient; successful exploitation terminates the radare2 process without reported data disclosure or modification.
