Browser script execution via unencoded poll parameter
Published Feb 27, 2024 · Updated Nov 6, 2024
Reflected XSS in KLiK SocialMediaWebsite 1.0.1 allows remote attackers to run JavaScript in a victim's browser via poll.php. The poll.php endpoint reflects the attacker-controlled poll parameter into its HTML response without context-appropriate output encoding. Exploitation requires a victim to open a crafted request; the script then runs in the application's browser origin and can read or alter data available to that session.
