Browser code execution via decoded URL fragment
Published Feb 26, 2024 · Updated Nov 6, 2024
DOM-based cross-site scripting in jstrieb URL Pages before commit 035b647 allows attackers to run JavaScript through a crafted URL. index.html Base64-decodes the URL fragment and navigates an embedded frame to a data URL containing the decoded HTML without sanitizing scripts. A victim must open the supplied link, and execution is confined to the browser context created for the decoded page.
