CVE-2024-26450Network attack vector

Application takeover via CSRF-triggered stored XSS

Published Feb 28, 2024 · Updated Dec 4, 2024

Stored XSS in Piwigo before 14.2.0 allows remote attackers to take over the application through a CSRF-triggered admin action. A forged request injects persistent JavaScript through the admin-page batch function into an administrator's dashboard, where the browser executes it. An administrator must load the poisoned dashboard; the script can use that session to upload and invoke a PHP file, enabling server-side code execution.
