Data alteration via unescaped UserId expression
Published Mar 19, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
XPath injection in Netentsec NS-ASG Application Security Gateway 6.3 allows remote authenticated users to alter application data. The resetpwd.php update action incorporates the UserId parameter into a query expression without neutralizing XPath control syntax. An authenticated network request can reach the password-reset endpoint, and the published payload demonstrates query evaluation that compromises data integrity.
