CVE-2024-2637

Arbitrary code execution via uncontrolled search paths

Published May 14, 2024 · Updated Apr 24, 2025

Uncontrolled search-path loading in affected B&R software allows local users to execute arbitrary code through crafted DLLs or executables. The applications follow the Windows DLL search and load order and inadequately check integrity before executing code from untrusted locations. Exploitation requires authenticated access to an affected node and the ability to place or replace a file that legitimate software loads.
