Arbitrary HTML execution via unsanitized note rendering
Published Apr 10, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
HTML injection in Enpass Password Manager Desktop Client 6.9.2 allows attackers to run arbitrary HTML through a crafted note. The notes field accepts attacker-controlled markup, and the item-detail view interprets that content as HTML instead of displaying it as plain text. The affected note must be created or imported and then viewed in the Windows or Linux desktop client; public evidence does not establish script execution outside the HTML-rendering context.
