Insufficient entropy in Chilkat before 9.5.0.98 allows attackers to recover sensitive cryptographic material via observable PRNG outputs. ChilkatRand::randomBytes uses the linear R250 generator for cryptographic operations; after 250 consecutive outputs, its XOR-derived state reveals past and future outputs. Exploitation requires an application path that exposes enough outputs during one process lifetime, after which keys can be recovered and protected data decrypted or altered.
