Unauthenticated file disclosure via gSOAP path traversal
Published Jul 14, 2025 · Updated Jul 14, 2025
Path traversal in Avid NEXIS systems before 2025.5.1 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files through crafted HTTP paths. The Agent's embedded gSOAP 2.8 server accepts dot-dot segments with a null-byte suffix and serves the resolved file outside its web root. No authentication is required on port 5015, and the privileged service exposes readable host files on Linux and Windows.
