Unauthenticated file read via unchecked filename path
Published Jul 14, 2025 · Updated Jul 14, 2025
Arbitrary file read in Avid NEXIS Agent before 2025.5.1 allows remote attackers to read host files through the network service. The /logs endpoint passes an unvalidated absolute path from the filename parameter to its log-download operation and returns that file's contents. No authentication or user interaction is required on the Agent's default port 5015, and its root or SYSTEM context exposes sensitive host data.
