CVE-2024-26284Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Cross-site scripting via unvalidated redirect URL

Published Feb 22, 2024 · Updated Mar 28, 2025

Universal cross-site scripting in Mozilla Firefox Focus before 123 allows remote attackers to run script in a victim site's context via a link. The WKNavigationDelegate path accepted a javascript: URL from a server-side 302 Location header without validating the redirected URL, so WebKit executed the payload under the previously visited page's origin. A victim must first visit a target site and then follow the attacker's link; successful exploitation lets the attacker read or alter content available to scripts in that site's origin.
