Cross-origin script execution via unvalidated canonical URLs

Universal cross-site scripting in Mozilla Firefox for iOS before 123 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript via a crafted AMP page. The MetadataHelper script treats an AMP page's unvalidated canonical href as the page URL, allowing a javascript: URL to be stored as a bookmark. Exploitation requires a user to visit the page, create the bookmark, and later open it while another top-origin site is active, enabling script execution in that site's context.
