CVE-2024-26273Network attack vector

Administrative action execution via crafted redirect parameter

Published Oct 22, 2024 · Updated Aug 22, 2025

Cross-site request forgery in affected Liferay Portal and Liferay DXP releases allows remote attackers to perform administrative actions. The content page editor processes a crafted CommerceCatalogsPortlet redirect parameter through a path that bypasses CSRF validation, permitting requests to privileged administrative functions. Exploitation requires an authenticated victim to follow attacker-controlled content; resulting actions include password changes, server shutdown, or scripting-console code execution.
