CVE-2024-26267Network attack vector

Version disclosure via verbose HTTP response header

Published Feb 20, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Information disclosure in affected Liferay Portal and Liferay DXP releases allows remote attackers to identify the running version via HTTP. The default http.header.version.verbosity setting is full, causing unauthenticated responses to emit the precise release in the Liferay-Portal header. Any network client that can reach the HTTP service can read the header and identify applicable vulnerabilities; the flaw does not directly alter data or interrupt the service.
