Plaintext password storage in Kurrent KurrentDB allows remote authenticated users to read user passwords from protected system streams. The projections subsystem persists credentials used by custom projections in database chunks and system streams without protecting the password value. Exposure requires custom projections; system-stream reads require $admins membership by default, while chunk-file disclosure requires local access to database storage.
