CVE-2024-26129Network attack vector

Filesystem path disclosure via theme directory variable

Published Feb 19, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024

Path disclosure in PrestaShop 8.1.0 through 8.1.3 allows remote attackers to read the server's theme directory via storefront JavaScript. The FrontController::getTemplateVarUrls method assigns getThemeDir(), which returns a filesystem path, to the theme_dir template variable instead of the public theme-relative path. Any unauthenticated storefront request can expose that directory path, but the flaw does not provide file contents, modification, or service interruption.
