CVE-2024-26017

Local privilege escalation via uncontrolled search path

Published Nov 13, 2024 · Updated Nov 14, 2024

Uncontrolled search path handling in Intel Rendering Toolkit before 2024.1.0 allows local users to escalate privileges through local access. Intel identifies an attacker-writable element in a fixed resource search path but does not disclose the affected file, function, component, or resource-loading operation. Exploitation requires low-privileged local access, high-complexity conditions, and active user interaction, after which attacker-supplied code executes with elevated privileges.
